At Synthèse Atelier de Parfum, we believe that true luxury lies in the details. The journey of each of our perfume boxes doesn’t begin in a factory; it starts with imagination, research, and artistic creation.
Our design process is a labor of love that begins with a name, evolves through exploratory sketches, matures with handmade paintings, and culminates in the beautiful packaging you hold in your hands. Every word, every line, every color choice, and every artistic decision is made with intention and care.

1. Imagine & Name
Before the first sketch, there is a name.
At Synthèse Atelier de Parfum, every Niche Series perfume begins with an idea, a story, and a feeling powerful enough to be translated into a scent. Long before the artwork for the packaging takes shape, we search for a name that carries emotional depth, cultural significance, and symbolic power.
This process begins with research. Selahattin Temelli, a meticulous researcher and writer, delves into words, metaphors, cultural references, and hidden meanings until the right concept emerges. Each name is then discussed and refined with Abdullah Kuruş, the founder of Synthèse, becoming part of the perfume's creative direction.
One of the clearest examples is Drachenfutter.
Literally translated as "dragon feed," Drachenfutter carries a much deeper metaphor. It signifies a peace offering—a gift given to win back the affection of a loved one after a moment of anger, tension, or discord.
For Synthèse, a name like Drachenfutter is not just a word. It's a scene. A conflict. A gesture. A flame. A reconciliation.
Based on this story, Abdullah Kuruş and our perfumers begin to shape the fragrance. Notes are chosen not only for their beauty but for the emotion they must convey: fire, desire, sweetness, apology, tension, and the silent grace of reconciliation.

As the perfume takes form, the story returns to the artist's hands. Through exploratory sketches and hand-drawn compositions, Selahattin Temelli translates the concept into the initial visual soul of the packaging. The dragon, the landscape, the symbolic details, and the name itself begin to coexist on paper.
It is only after this stage that the artwork progresses to color, texture, oil paint, and the final packaging production.

This is the holistic approach behind every Synthèse Niche Series creation: the name, the story, the scent, the artwork, and the packaging are designed as one complete experience. Even before the customer smells the perfume, the story has already begun on the box—creating an emotional connection between the fragrance and the person holding it.
2. Sketch
Every design begins with inspiration. Our artists carefully sketch each concept, translating the essence and personality of the perfume into a visual form. These initial drawings lay the foundation for what will become a unique work of art.

3. Oil Painting
The sketch comes to life in the rich, textured medium of oil paint. Each painting is done by hand, with careful attention to color harmony, composition, and emotional resonance. The oil painting technique adds depth, character, and a unique handcrafted quality to our designs.

4. Final Product
The completed artwork is transformed into the perfume packaging. But the artistic soul remains—each box carries the spirit of the original painting, making every Synthèse perfume not just a scent, but a collectible work of art.
